The Simpler Things in Life

I've always been into the minimalistic style... AKA: pants and a plain shirt. But now I'm starting to really like the high-waisted skirt plus a tee and tights combo. (My heart will always belong to the plain-tee-and-pants-outfit, however.)

I particularly liked this photoshoot of Zooey Deschanel because 1. her outfit, and 2. the location. Need I say more?

Ben Barnes is on my top list of style icons, even if all he does is "throws on a t-shirt and jeans." He's still amazing. And amazingly handsome. Oh-- and who says a guy can't be a girl's fashion icon? Definitely not me!

Rachel and I are planning to throw a Christmas party (you know, the nices dresses and champagne), but I haven't found anything to wear yet. I really want to wear something with color... either red, green, or purple. And if all else fails, black. I really like this dress that Leighton Meester (Blair) on Gossip Girl wore in one of the eppies:

Something like this will do the job. I'm certain I don't have a dress like this, so I guess that means I'll have to go shopping! :)

1895

Last year for Halloween, I dressed as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, so when I found this shirt, I had to have it:
(That's the giant pocketwatch I made to go with my Halloween costume. :) )

And just cause, here's another picture of my outfit:

No Need to Enhance

Call me addicted, but I really need some Starbucks. It's been exactly a day since I've gotten a venti iced green tea.

Behind the door in this picture was a dumpster, so there was a real foul odor while we were snapping photos. But the door was so photo-worthy, we sacrificed our cleanliness for an awesome picture. :)

Here is my outfit from yesterday (I was too lazy to post last night):
(Yes, this is photoshopped, and I certainly don't think it needs any more "enhancing." I've done enough to make it look good. KTHX.)

La Vie en Rose

I love my college's campus. We have all kinds of beautiful little areas, and fun statues and things...

And so... the theme of this outfit post! :) Shoes:
And later I put on a jacket for my evening classes, and did away with the hat:

(The picture on the right shows the true color of the jacket.)

Newton's Third Law & Bumper Cars

Today when I got to school I was able to get a spot on the second floor of the parking garage (I usually park on the roof, five stories up). However, being the psycho/crazy driver that I am, I pulled in too quickly to the spot and I hit my car on the wall in front of me. Maybe I was a little too excited... Luckily there was no damage to the car and I only hit my license plate. :)

My outfit for the day:

MARIO KART CUPCAKES!

While this little blog will most likely focus on fashion and the like, that doesn't mean we don't enjoy the other finer things in life... like cupcakes. And Mario Kart Wii.

So what better way to incorporate our two current obsessions than by baking Mario Kart themed cupcakes?

Yeah, yeah, they're not perfect, but we tried our best. Besides, they were tasty. :)

Enjoy, Rachel
